$SE Q3 2021 here we go!!!! (Sorry this is a day late, I was out of the country + jet lagged and didn’t want to wake up at 4am lol)

Overall pretty impressive and boring quarter as usual! here are some of my thoughts - Exec team continued to hone in on the concept of expanding their TAM via continued scale + efficiency across their entire ecosystem (Garena + Shopee + Sea Money).

Reminder:
- Garena/Free Fire - enormously successful game
- Shopee - ecomm platform
- Sea Money - mobile wallet

fr I think tiktok's shaping of culture is really under-appreciated. the fact that not being on it makes you so out-of-touch, but u have absolutely no idea... obviously that happens to everyone with age, but it's noteworthy that the divide is so stark for millennials in their 20s I don't think we ever could've predicted the fact that an individual's cultural understanding in 2021 would be so dependent on becoming essentially addicted to an AI-driven video feed from a Chinese company lol

excited to do my quarterly 4am wake-up for $SE Q4 earnings tonight/tomorrow lol. some pre earnings thoughts: obviously, it appears that a lot of big names began to take $SE seriously over the last few months. we saw some huge PT increases (I think I saw one of them go as high as $315!) -

yeee $SE Q3 earnings tomorrow at 4:30am PT (lol). i'm planning to listen/live-tweet again! Not much to report here with respect to pre-earnings thoughts: I think we will see Free Fire continue to do incredibly well. It was the third most downloaded mobile game in September globally (per sensor tower), and geopolitical tension in India with Chinese publishers could further prop it up in Q3. we may see some Q's from analysts

$BYND Q3 2020 earnings recap!

I have been a shareholder since IPO day and it is one of my favorite companies. i am planning to hold for an additional 9 years min 😎

they missed on rev today which sent stock down ~22% after hours

i am expecting it to continue to be v volatile These were the major forces that affected the decrease:

(1) covid stockpiling in Q2 - ppl buying $BYND products and leaving them in the freezer (I know personally that my fiance and i did exactly this lol)
(2) covid menu streamlining among QSRs - lead to fewer $BYND options

Some interesting moments from the $MELI Q2 earnings call this morning. Mercado Libre was founded in 1999 and continues to operate one of the largest ecomm platforms across South America --> They have been testing a new take rate structure across a few test countries. The goal is to better match fees with the economics of different categories, which will hopefully drive more merchants to want to list.

Substantially grew large customer accounts (accounts greater than 100k annualized rev), big increase due to covid
Mkt cap ~$12.5 bil (vs $FSLY ~$9bil)
