Weddell Cunningham and William Halliday ( who Hallidays Rd is named for ) both owned sugar plantations in Dominica and were hopeful of establishing slave docks and sales here. Their shame was even greater in that they were members of Belfast Charitable Society

February 2020 was sunny and cold, walking or cycling to work every morning was enjoyable. I liked most of the people clustered round my desk area. The girl beside me took a break to northern Italy to do culture vulture stuff, with her first pay. She returned with a virus,
which swept the building, the cough was unique. I thought I’d dodged it until the first week of March I woke gasping, shaking – to the day I die I wont ever know if I was boiling hot or freezing cold:: I just knew if I shut my eyes and give in, I’d never get up again.
