I got a bee in my bonnet about quantifying intratumor genetic heterogeneity in cancer: jeff.wintersinger.org/posts/2021/04/…. There are maybe three people in the world who care about this, but if you're one of them, it's time to buckle up, because this is going to be one hell of a ride. (1/n) This is a schematic representing one patient's cancer. Each colored blob represents a genetically distinct cell subpopulation in the cancer. Each has its own characteristic mutations. We can get tissue samples from the cancer at different points in space & time.
