Thread about unemployment, underemployment & underpaid employment.

About 28 million people are receiving unemployment benefits in the United States. That's about 17.5% of the workforce. Not all unemployed people are elibible for or apply for benefits. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) counts unemployment at about 10.2 % of the workforce. Many people were categorized as on temporary layoff rather than unemployed. Reclassifying them as out of work would increase the official number significantly.

I just received this notice from the State Bar of California that it has assigned an attorney and an investigator to look into my complaint against IRS Commissioner #CharlesRettig. Millions of people in the U.S. are appalled by the crimes & corruption of #PaulManafort, Donald Trump's campaign manager. Manafort used his wealth, his privilege & his position as a lawyer, to perpetrate crimes & corruption that have harmed people throughout the world. THREAD. Many of these crimes were ongoing until quite recently & were committed while he was the chair of Trump's campaign. It was fitting that Trump selected Manafort as his chairman because both men are dishonest and unscrupulous criminals.
