After taking a day to process the Butler rally, here are a few thoughts on it, as someone who was there on July 13th.

I was surprised when I found out the rally would be at the Butler Farm Show.

I thought it would be somewhere close by, but not at the exact site. Of course, I was underestimating Donald Trump.

Of COURSE he would go back to the EXACT location on the EXACT field on the exact event grounds where he almost died.

Men like him can do nothing less.

I am finally home from the rally... Here's my perspective.

I was sitting almost directly in front of President Trump, about 10 rows back.

When the shots rang out, they really DID sound like fireworks.

Everyone was confused until President Trump hit the deck - then we knew. I can not describe how my heart dropped in those few seconds before he stood back up, or what a relief it was to see this fist pump.

I think everyone there was holding their breath.

This - this said that he was ok.

Thank you, President Trump.

Thank you for your relentless efforts to keep your promises, despite unwavering opposition from everyone around you.

Thank you for doing it for free.

Thank you for making "America First" a way of life, and not just an empty campaign slogan. Thank you for your beautiful stubbornness and determination to do what was right, whether it was popular or not.

Thank you for standing for the unborn.

Thank you for all your efforts to fight human trafficking and illegal immigration.
