Geez, I guess since the documentary some folks found my site. Over 4500 views here at the second week of the year compared to a little under 8k for the entirety of 2022... philfairbanks.com fyi, I will try to start posting some things soon including my take on the doc. Image I'm pretty averse to self promotion but this is the best chance I have of showing folks how messed up this story really is. Far worse than anything in the documentary. As wild as this story is, I'm still amazed no one apart from me has picked up any of these threads.

My boldest decision by far in this book is jumping from the cliffhanger in Chapter 1 where Kai has rocketed to fame, then meets a lawyer from New Jersey in Times Square. "You look lost," he says... CUT TO: Hawaii, late 18th century, Captain James Cook is introduced to surfing. "Brief Histories" is what it sounds like. quick rundowns of of surfing and hitchhiking and New Jersey corruption history from Tammany Hall to ABSCAM. After that a bit of background about the United Church of Canada residential schools & The Family cult. Both loom large here.

Flight of the Conchordes kids charity they did. They ask the kids where do banks get money from. "The Prime minister" when asked where he gets the money "The Queen" asked where she gets her money: "the bank." Jemaine: "See what's happening here..."

I guess they're ignoring the mic request I had more to say on this @AP spaces. they said drop a question in the tweet something here goes. yeah they are probably gonna ignore my question too the normalization of making payments for fast food delivery is already starting. it's only gotten worse in my lifetime. also doesn't build credit but does hurt it potentially? awesome!
