San Francisco is a geographically blessed city w a $14B budget for 800k people. That's the highest in the entire USA other than DC.

This means every SF crisis is self-inflicted by political incompetence or straight up corruption.

This election we can fix it. Voting guide 🧵: @GrowSF was one of the first groups to promote transparency and general competency in local government. They have a regular and excellent voting guide for San Francisco.

This combo removes the arbitrary power of politicians like @DeanPreston from blocking new housing bc it lowers their own property values or bc they don’t like the color or whatever. Image It sucks for voters that it’s written like an LSAT question, but housing supply is one of the big blockers to SF flourishing this is a big chance to unblock housing instead of letting Supervisors play Central Planner like they currently do.

Walking around San Francisco today smells like an industrial Asian city in the 90s but with dirtier streets and worse infrastructure. Anyone that thinks this is worth preserving is delusional. I think people put up with it bc SF is naturally blessed with beautiful climate, but we broke that too. So now we try not to breath ash as we dodge human feces and potholes on crumbling roads we have to use bc our mass transit runs like once an hour when it’s not broken.
