The striking drone clip of the destruction in Arad in particular is notable - wide aerial shots like this showcase the breadth of the damage, where the entity would normally work so diligently to conceal vulnerability. I think a lot of the intention is revealed in the upper right hand corner of the screen, which features the logo of United Hatzalah, a “volunteer” first responder organization that works directly with the IOF. One could probably compare them to the White Helmets in the propaganda function they perform. You can see in United Hatzalah’s own pinned promotional video of their emergency medical response work how much the Israeli censors permit them to show since the beginning of the war. Also note how Hatzalah ties its brand directly to the war itself, pairing its logo with the official Israeli “Operation Roaring Lion” graphic. On Tuesday 1,100 gallons of toxic firefighting foam (AFFF) leaked from the Navy’s Red Hill facility. AFFF contains PFAS, a forever chemical that can cause cancer. These pictures show cleanup efforts at the site of the leak, directly above O'ahu’s primary source of drinking water. You can see AFFF darkening concrete in those photos while Red Hill workers scoop soil and concrete into barrels whilst trying to soak up toxic foam with pads. What you can’t see is one mile down: a channel leading to Halawa Stream, where the Navy flushes fuel-contaminated water.
