In July 2022, Kristina Burbela participated as an artist in "Tavrida Art," an event by the Russian state agency Rosmolodezh that legitimizes the occupation and war in Ukraine. She called it "very cool" and was proud to be featured on Russian propaganda TV.

🇳🇱 Cinemas @PatheNederland, @Kinepolis_NL, and @Cineville screened the Russian cartoon 'Masha and the Bear' for almost 3 months, by Dutch company InTheAir. Despite claims of no ties to Russia, it was produced by a Russian studio paying taxes in Russia.

Since December, concerned Ukrainians, including myself, reached out to @PatheNederland, questioning the promotion of a Russian cartoon as one made in Cyprus. Disappointingly, the response from Pathe was a generic email, leaving many questions unanswered.

This is a New Year's photo of employees of TV Rain (Dozhd) from their Amsterdam office. I found out that at least three people from this photo continue to make money in Russia, bringing money to sanctioned companies and oligarchs who sponsor the war in Ukraine.
