Thread🧵: Debunking Maratha involvement in the Battle of Talikota.
Had too many retarded claims, but i didnt bother to type all those, find it yourself few and reply me.(1/n)
Their claim is based on RamaRaja Bakhair, but it turns out that it is completely false. It also says Akbar of Mughal had also participated in it.
Along with it, it consists of various fictious names and is highly tampered.

Marathas claim that it was written in kannada then was later translated into Parathi, but in reality it is not known which is original and which is translation.

The Maratha Appropriation of Karnataka's Legacy: Forged Lineages, Faked Glory.(PART 1)
For far too long, I have seen a growing trend among some Maratha chauvinist circles to retroactively insert themselves into the legacy of powerful Kannada empires especially the BADAMI Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas, and Hoysalas. From forging genealogies to etymological gymnastics, their goal has been simple, i.e. to hijack the rich dynastic past of Karnataka and pass it off as their own.
Let's kill this myths with facts, inscriptions, and plain logic.(1/n)
Ayyanavaṁśacarita: A Modern Sanskrit Forgery
Among the most brazen examples of historical forgery is the "Ayyanavaṁśacarita", a Sanskrit poem designed to falsely insert a Maratha noble Sabaji Rao Chalukya into the ancient Badami Chalukya dynasty's lineage.(pic 1-3)
The text also falsely forges a dynastic link from Mangalesha to Tailapa II, which no contemporary inscription supports.
Maratha nobles like the Gorphades of Mudhol linked his family to Shivaji and then falsely claimed descent from Sisodia Rajputs of Mewar, which was also forged.(pic4).

"Hande Nayaka's hero stone is worshipped in a temple of the folk deity named Mussalamma, who in her mortal life sacrificed herself to seal a breach in the lake, upon the command of goddess Ganga-Bhavani. She was the daughter-in-law of BassiReddy whose descendant built this temple
This photo from 2009 shows the temple during renovation or construction. The rightmost stone is the hero stone of Hande Nayaka.

Source of Hande Hanma being Vazir of Bijapur sultanate before joining Karnata(vijayanagara) Empire(1/n)
What makes it more intresting that his Grandson who was deewan of Karnata, who had fought behalf of karnata in Battle of Talikota, revolted against karnata as Arvidus were Vaishnavas & had replaced virupaksha with srirama seal, also had Padshahi Vazir title as he switched side.

I never thought I’d be making this thread, but after witnessing not one, but two clueless individuals in a row, I’m being forced to cr8 one thread regarding the origin of the Hande Palegars. After claiming Karnata, now these shameless ppl are claiming Hande Nayaka too.(1/n)
"Wars of Rajas" was narrated by the last Hande Palegar (see pictures 2 and 3). In that book, he himself claimed that Hande Hanma Nayaka, his ancestor, traced his origins to Solapur(pic 1, even showed genological records for this claim), and he was born in Bijapur district,(2/n)
