A bunch of Elon Musk's text messages hit the docket today in Twitter v. Musk. Most of them identify sender & recipient, but this one, apparently about reinstating Trump, does not. And here's where the board seat idea fell apart: "This is a waste of time."

In a hearing today, Twitter's and Musk's lawyers are fighting about his disappearing Signal messages. Twitter shows a screenshot of disappearing messages between Musk and Birchall, his financial advisor. Musk lawyer now says, "There is no evidence that we destroyed evidence." The messages in the screenshot discuss Marc Andreessen in some way, and mention EU regulatory approval for the deal.

Twitter's lawyer is reading out Elon Musk's texts in court. From a May 8 text to his banker: "Let’s slow down just a few days. Putin’s speech tomorrow is really important. It won’t make sense to buy Twitter if we’re heading into World War 3." Musk side argued that Twitter isn't finding evidence to support its theory that he wanted to abandon the deal because of the economic downturn. "Their theory about what really happened isn’t what really happened."
