Secured $900M in conservation funding forever? Sure – thanks, Congress! The Trump administration, for their part, consistently proposed to nearly ZERO OUT the Land and Water Conservation Fund in their budgets. The best thing the Trump Admin did for LWCF was get out of the way.

I spent way too long learning and writing about a little-known oil and gas leasing program at the BLM not to do a tweet thread about it. So, here’s your TL;DR on NONCOMPETITIVE LEASING!
The @BLMNational manages oil & gas leasing on public lands. It’s historically a fossil-fuels-first program, where industry can essentially say where and when they want to drill with surprisingly few hoops to jump through before they’re handed the rights to develop oil & gas.

The @forestservice wants to revisit the withdrawal of 1 million acres from new uranium mining designed to protect the Grand Canyon watershed. The National Mining Association is also taking their case to the Supreme Court to try to get the protections reversed.
