The attitude of a typical Igbo person to politics has to change as long as South East remains part of Nigeria. The Igbo person would often remark about focusing on his or her business or trade whilst leaving politics to politicians. To the point of abstaining from voting. THREAD. That mentality was entrenched because during military rule and 16 years of democracy when economic policies were nationalistic and wasn't targeted to disadvantage of any group. Also the capitalist, free market ideology of PDP made it seem like their businesses were insulated.

"Ohanaeze has no objections to all Igbo in the North returning home so long as all northerners in the SouthEast would leave the SEast and we dismantle the federal structure imposed on us by the military and return to autonomous."

Why is Buhari bent on causing conflagrations? 1/ “The nepotism exhibited by this Federal Government, her duplicity of standards in law enforcement, her undisguised Fulanisation policy is repugnant to the rule of law and good governance. We will no longer tolerate any further threats from these northern war mongers." 2/

The few times President Buhari sat down for interviews since 2015, he often makes a case against the ELITES as the root cause of Nigeria’s problem. This is erroneous and potentially dangerous. I will elucidate. THREAD Buhari believes the problem of Nigeria at the moment is the elites which is parochial. Elites is defined as "small group of powerful people who hold a disproportionate amount of wealth, privilege, political power, or skill in a society." He equates elites to the political class.

For those who have not read @atiku's interview with @AfricanReport, here's a synopsis. The talking points. Find the link to the full interview on his twitter handle. THREAD.

PS: My views are infused but are glaring though wherever they appear. He's introduced as boisterous, full of life, not shy to speak about his vision and plans. He's not the campaign promise-esque politician, he talks policies. He is interested in systems (deregulation and privatisation) and structure (restructuring). Buhari is bland. Lacklustre!

This is a recap from watching and listening to #NnamdiKanu, IPOB leader’s most anticipated speech from the land of Israel, 6pm, 21/10/2018. The address lasted approximately 45mins. He’s indeed alive. I will recount what I got from the live broadcast. Follow the thread. Army invaded his house on the 14th of September 2017. They came to kill or capture him. He was indeed preparing to go to court. But he said the government was afraid of the statement he made that he will bring 2m Biafrans to his next court appearance in Abuja to expose Nigeria.

A thread on Twitter influencers that would've been dancing naked at the $26b Baru illegal contracts if it were GEJ, NASS or Diezani. Omojuwa - Calls NASS despicable names. Diezani gives him ecstacy. But since Baru, he's considering deactivating his Twitter account.
