One of the questions I am asked no matter who I talk to, is how we got into this veteran housing nightmare..The answer is: My husband and my family were still active duty in 2014 when he got offered his dream job on that same base..he accepted which gave us the income (1/7 ) to buy this house and pay off our debts so we could start a normal civilian life..We bought this house in 2014 in august, and he began his new job then as well..There was no way we could have known he would be unfairly terminated without warning just 4 months later (2/7 )

I see so many donations and miracles being given to so many..For the last 7 years my veteran family has begged and pleaded and tried to get help from anywhere and everywhere we..(1/4)

Veterans put their lives on the line for a country that doesnt fight for them...lawyers care about profits..media, getting viwers...all the while you can give your country 12 years and have your home buying benefits reduced as a punishment because a lender lied to you..delayed... And drug out time to charge fees and interest, sell the the then newly underwater mortgage while in loan modifiction review..which resets everything and adds more months behind and more fees to what you owe..i get ordered to shuttup and besides homelessness, we will lose a..

Do i need to spray paint a message on the roof for airplanes to see? Do i need to do something major yo get the attention needed to right a serious wrong? I have a sickening feeling that one of the two letter from the lender today is a sales date notification.. And we dtill need to pay 131.00 gor the court filing fee just to file ch13 and beg the court to letbus sell instead through trustee instead of letting them take it..we (like now several thousands of veteran families) are out of options, out of time and still ignored..

Veteran homeowners who were struggling pre covid to just keep their homes and not be added to the homeless population, are again exempt from mortgage help even in this new CA mortgage program! Homeowners who were struggling pre covid are now drowning in additional behind payments thanks to the Cares Act which further caused additional hardships by not allowing our missed payments to be moved to the end of the mortgage. Which almost 100% guarantees that even more of

@CFPBDirector @CFPB Step up for veteran homeowners who were already struggling to fight to keep their homes before covid, once "safe" from foreclosure, now face losing their homes anyways, there is no foreclosure moratorium extension in covid struggling counties and no help with those payments missed any more than there was existing financial programs to help homeowners before..Veterans and their families deserve better than what a growing mass of them are seeing,
