I've removed a series of tweets that showed just a little too well, via the Hoaxy site, that a number of antivax and generally disruptive hashtags have essentially stopped around the time when Russia began to limit access to Twitter. (1/7) Image There appears to be an issue with Hoaxy that over-emphasize this trend. While there is definitely a statistically significant drop in traffic around those hashtags, the graphics from Hoaxy make it appear that they stopped altogether, and my tweets indicated that as well. @tattva5 @lisa_iannattone Russia is trying to keep word of how badly the war is going from reaching their people, so they're limiting access to Facebook and Twitter.

What trolls and bots they do have are now spreading disinformation about the war. @tattva5 @lisa_iannattone Here's a report I pulled today - tweets with the hashtag "myocarditis" stopped for 30+ hours. Tweets with the hashtag "covid19vaccine" stopped happening for even longer than that.

A bunch of antivax and generally disruptive hashtags are showing odd trends right now.
