When you should shift to dedicated Prelims preparation for UPSC CSE 2023?

A thread 1. If you are a fresher, i.e UPSC 2023 is your first attempt, then you should devote atleast 4.5 months to Prelims - i.e. start prelims from 10 or 15th Jan 2023.
If some of your mains prep is remaining, leave it and focus fully on prelims

By Jan 15 - Close your optional and GS Mains prep and start shifting your focus to Prelims

Jan 15 to Feb end - First reading of all core subjects from standard books (History, Geo, Eco, Polity, Env, Science & Tech)
Also attempt around 8-10 prelims mocks March 1 to March 30 - 1st revision of core subjects + start revising current affairs from May 2022 onwards + attempt another 8-10 mocks (preferably FLTs)

April 1 to April 25 - Second revision of core subjects + revision of current affairs (finish current affairs by Apr end)
