@Millie22221 @thehebrewess Great to hear! It is crucial that we reconnect. DM me and I will send you some contacts. @Millie22221 @thehebrewess Amara debunks several claims made by ADOS members. Example: many ADOS members blame Africans for not sending ships to rescue the victims. It's a silly claim that shows how little we know but, to her credit, she does explain why that was impossible.

Some African Americans have been programmed to believe that their problems make them exceptional. The truth is that our prob is entangled with the problems of Africans all over the world.Namely, the Arab&European so called "slave trades" entrenched the lie of African inferiority. The truth is that our power is in our African-ness. The Arabs and Whites, through brute force, relentless propaganda, and attrition gradually brainwashed us with Islam, Christianity, foreign languages, rhetorical ethics (for example, "democracy")...

@xingmi4life @BlackSoulFood @ameyaw112 You are wrong on a few points. "Tribal wars" is a racist stereotype used primarily to describe non-white people. White conflicts are rarely, if ever, called "tribal wars." Also, there are ample examples of Africans creating alliances, collaborating, assimilating foreigners, etc. @xingmi4life @BlackSoulFood @ameyaw112 Also important to note that African political systems were not exclusively tribal. Africans developed large, complex states and empires when Europeans were still "tribal." You say the "being African means nothing." This is also misleading.

Some of my remarks titled "'The King is Dead': White Pathology and Its Consequences for the Black Freedom Movement" for #MLK2018 #ReclaimMLK
👉Intro 👈
A key premise that frames my remarks is that the US government is at war with its the Black citizens. What most of you have learned in school as the transatlantic slave trade, Jim Crow, mass incarceration are phases of that war. The aim of the war is white supremacy. The police--local & fed (FBI, CIA, ICE or Immigration and Customs Enforcement) are instruments of white power.
