so amazing that

- the universe gave us an infinite energy glitch
- the US decided to use it to power giant underwater Gods (Ohio class submarine), enough to power it straight for 30 years
- then entire society collectively chose not to use this energy source for anything else civilizational self-own lmao

Few weeks ago, I wrote the first lines of code for Poaster. Then, we opened our TestFlight beta to a select few.

And today, I’m thrilled to officially announce that we’ve raised $2M in a seed round from @balajis, @eladgil, @HOFCapital, @AbstractVC, @amasad, @dwr, and more!

1/N At Poaster, we’re building the first truly global pseudonymous network.

The idea came from my personal journey of writing under this pseudonymous Twitter account.

Over the last year, I've noticed a key inflection point in the world.

The modern American statist can not conceive of such a thing as Exit, despite the fact that America was founded upon this very concept.

If exit is inherently amoral and selfish, then so is the American nation-state.

Filing under: Inheritors aren't Founders. It's one rhetorical tactic to say "these people extracted value, got rich, and are now leaving".

Guess who else uses this exact same argument? The corrupt politicians of dysfunctional San Francisco.

Bad mimetic ideas – like the green/ESG movement – have bad consequences.

Sri Lanka self-inflicted itself into a food crisis, and now, a revolution. Germany is going to be rationing electricity. Dutch farmers are revolting.

The bill of green-agenda is coming due. Image Is Greta Thunberg going to be footing the bill for these nations that are collapsing? Is the Davos crowd going to suffer any negative consequences for their ill-advised ideas?

Bad ideas have bad consequences, and we should never forget that.

what the elites are selling you on

vs.

what they actually value and practice

(a short thread about the advanced psychological warfare the elites are waging against the normies and midwits) the elites to the normies: "won't you think of the carbon footprint of children? don't have kids!"

meanwhile, the elites themselves are having the most children. The U curve is literally the midwit meme!

a large part of public's disdain toward our current technocratic wealthy elites is because the elites come across as dangerous "Optimizoooor" types

no class, taste, or sense of aesthetics. the poop water and EA-soy-protein maximalism do not help their case. ImageImage you just know that these bugmen would rather drain every last simple pleasure out of billions of people's lives for some marginal 0.1% improvement in some esoteric/fake metric they made up

What westerners think India is like vs. what it's actually like.

Contrast the Ascending vs. the Descending world – LA and random cities of India quietly switching places as the Westerner maintains his perpetual denial. few other things Indian cities do not have:

- NGO-propped homeless encampments
- drug needles on the streets
- mentally ill ppl on trains that jerk off to you then stab you
- organized "smash and grabs" (lootings)

comparing LA to India is just not fair to India anymore

"X Airline cancels 1000s of flights, amid a surge of Omicron"

Why are so many flights being canceled? Are the US flight cancellations really due to the virus?

Not really. Let's take a look. First, note that air travel is actually *higher* than pre-covid. The demand is through the roof.

When all of this is over, the only things that’d have ever helped the pandemic would be

- vaccines
- Omicron

almost all of the govt measures have either been policy theater or downright destructive. all the breathless rambling by the bureaucrats who need to look busy about:

- lockdowns
- restaurant restrictions
- travel bans
- Byzantine testing and quarantine requirements

and much more useless stuff

The masses simply want the illusion that they’re being “protected”

had my first somewhat controversial thread blew up yesterday. a few interesting observations from the experience so far:

1. most ppl are npc, they all use the same canned insults like "my dude. this ain't it. dunning-kruger" etc. Funny to see the memes propagate. 2. most ppl have no ideas to add, only snark and insults.

3. if somebody adds nothing but insult, and you rightfully block them, they actually celebrate. "ha. see, you're a coward." they literally have the same reaction every single time.

I see that the "32 yo expert worshipooor" has logged on.

Entirely wrong thread, riddled with midwit analogies.

Let me break this down.

1/N Expert vs. Layman is entirely the wrong axis, but it's no surprise that's the only level of analysis the midwit credentialists have to offer.

What's the correct axis? As hard as it is to admit, it's 'Intelligence'.

proposal: a dashboard that aggregates the most visceral failure markers of a declining US State capacity.

thread below (which I suspect I'll keep adding to on a regular basis)

police staffing shortages mean they won't respond to your "non-emergency"
