@ProfMJCleveland I don't agree. Media will spin this 24/7 as being the most egregious deprivation of human rights since Plessy v. Ferguson (and that case WILL be named specifically - watch). They'll use this to re-attack Trump (AND DeSantis), call to pack the Court, end the filibuster and.. @ProfMJCleveland ... eliminate the Electoral College. Big push to pass federal legislation creating a right to abortion now. A lot of "moderates" are ok with state restriction on abortion but not outright bans. Riots MIGHT affect public opinion, but we're not going to see much of that...

1. THIS was the purpose behind the rigged "polls," media predictions of a Biden win & otherwise baffling assurances of widespread support for Biden, when 50 people showed up to his anemic (and rare) little public appearances, while tens of thousands showed up for Trump's rallies. 2. The point was to create an impression of massive support for Biden which would justify, in the average America's mind, the hundreds of thousands of votes that would magically show up with Joe Biden's name on them.

I'm not seeing much discussion of the massive damage that's been done to the Democratic Party.

The Democrats I know are cops, farmers, teachers; families who love America & their neighbors. They love the DP they knew from the past.

But the party has been wholesale hijacked. The Clintons bear much of the blame for destroying the DP, but not all of it. The DP has sold out to multinational corporations, and allowed itself to be infiltrated by America-hating Marxists and other extremist splinter groups, while pandering for votes.

I can't compare it to other countries, but anyone who is a slave to their baser instincts (sexual excess, violence, substance abuse, sloth for example) is not free. @Canadian_Hue @Tactical_review @KyleKashuv Liberty doesn't mean license. It has to be coupled with industry, initiative, a bit of self-discipline and concern for others. Without those internal constraints, you just get misery - anarchy and chaos.

1. I saw a video of a black police officer telling a protester that "America has a sin problem."

He's right.

Racism, like all hatred and cruelty, is SIN. Separation from God. Sin of any kind is not unique to any race or class of people or country or era. 2. THAT'S what every Christian pastor should be preaching from the pulpit. Every sermon. Every Sunday. Now that we're online, every day.

We broke our worldview up into religious and secular decades ago. So we've lost the language of good and evil, and the sources of both.

Here are four takeaways from the #TulsaRally and the #TikTokTeenTicket tempest in a teapot :

1. Tickets weren't "sold" - anyone who wanted to go, could go. This means that yes, the crowd was definitely smaller than previous rallies. 2. The rally crowd was still substantial, enthusiastic and loud. And - duhhh - anyone concerned about COVID-19 who preferred not to attend, as well as anyone not in Tulsa, could watch online or on TV. And millions did.

I'm sure a lot of our police officers would LOVE to stop coming to calls about kittens in trees, homeless men without pants and traffic stops.

But the idea that bad people - and there ARE bad people - will be prevented, stopped or deterred by the use of social workers is insane. We need only look at places where policing is thin or non-existent to see what will happen. Like the south side of Chicago last weekend. Or parts of Mexico controlled by the drug cartels.

We already have crime, and people inclined to commit it.

@freddoso I went to school here from 1979 - 1986. I moved back in 2010 and was pleasantly surprised at the improvement. Who did it? Notre Dame, IU, developers, investors, construction companies, retailers, homeowners, business owners.. . @freddoso THIS is why Democrat politicians are a PLAGUE. They think THEY build the country. They think THEY build the economy. They think THEY create prosperity.
