A while ago I ran a few posts over on Instagram (@laurarathbonept) about burnout and clinical practice. I was overwhelmed by messages from clinicians feeling heard/seen by these posts. So I'd like to share a few thoughts here:
1. Stop expecting ur manager to be ur best supervisor. If your current clinical supervisor prioritises BM/reductionist approaches to supporting some1 w/pain & U prioritise BPS approaches they can't help u. Get what you can from them but don't internalise their limitations as urs.

@CorKinetic It's really hard to pin this down, but:
1. Delete and re-write your tweets atleast once.
This is a classic technique in journalism & functions to drop the ego out of your message. Your 1st response is usually more emotional than your 2nd. This can give more space for empathy.
@CorKinetic 2. Write Ur threads outside of twitter.
280 characters and multiple tweets can make it hard to keep hold of your main points, especially as replies and disagreements come in whilst you R still forming Ur response.
