I enjoy talking to people looking to work on climate change (often from big tech due to my background and network).
Below is my #1 piece of advice and a few things I always send to people to read as they ramp up.

Apple is telling me that I HAVE to add in-app payments to my browser extension, Simplify Gmail which currently has no in-app purchases.
That is not my understanding of their already absurd rules. Or are their rules even more absurd than I thought?
My understanding of the rules was that, IF I use in-app payments, I HAVE to use Apple's in-app payments.
AND that if I do not use their in-app payments, the app can in no way collect money or link outside the app to collect money for any reason.

Funny thing: the original versions of Google Inbox was supposed to do this. We built it for much more than comms too. But leadership asked us to stick to mail. So it was scaled back.
There were several differences in the approach that I still think makes this more compelling
The reasoning was the same back in 2008 (when Inbox was started):
1. Gmail had been a big success 2. Talk was our 2nd most successful app (at the time) which was the only app built into Gmail 3. We should put the other Google Apps into Gmail 4. Profit?

Climate change poses one of the greatest threats humanity has ever faced. While it is nearly impossible to comprehend the magnitude of the challenge, the problem itself is quite straightforward: There’s too much CO2 in the atmosphere.
