I will probably regret this 🧵 but: I am equal parts Jewish and Arab (Egyptian, if you care!). I have family throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
I do think there should be a safe place for Jews, but not at the expense of making that place unsafe for others. I support a free Palestine.

If it was about babies, we’d have excellent and free universal maternal care. You wouldn’t be charged a cent to give birth, no matter how complicated your delivery was. If it was about babies, we’d have months and months of parental leave, for everyone.
If it was about babies, we’d have free lactation consultants, free diapers, free formula. If it was about babies, we’d have free and excellent childcare from newborns on. If it was about babies, we’d have universal preschool and pre-k and guaranteed after school placements.

26 years into menstruating and I STILL have not learned that when I think “everything sucks and it will never ever get better” it means I will start bleeding in 48 hours.
This is why it’s so dumb when people say a woman can’t be president because of PMS. Dude, every menstruating person in the world is an EXPERT at not blowing their life up during their period.
