1) Today, after 20 years of membership in @RomanceWriters, I've tendered my resignation from the organization. Sadly, the RWA I loved and served for so many years is no longer a group to which I am proud to belong.
@romancewriters 2) I stuck around after the catastrophic events of 12/2019, when RWA's deep-rooted issues with systemic racism and other discrimination were exposed to the world. Although angry and appalled, I believed I could help effect real change and healing.
