Only glancingly related, but I will never ever ever forget that there were only 7 Black men (!) in a class of 1000 in the year 1997. Maybe 15 Black women? Trifling!

If you think this is fun, just wait until half the country refuses to get vaccinated. Follow up: lotta comments about safety etc. At what point does one feel “in the clear” about a safe vaccine while also squashing a raging pandemic that’s destroying lives and cities and communities? Asking for everyone who wants out.

Listening to more of the “nice white parents” podcast and big takeaway from ep 2? The secret killers of NYC school intergration in the 60s? White parents who VOCALLY supported integration & then... didn’t send their kids for a variety of the same reasons that parents today cite. NYC parents, esp white parents, really need you to listen to this podcast.
