Just did deep research on panty shot history in anime/manga (80s-present). Only Japanese sources. Results? Rather shocking.

In Japan, younger gens (10-30) react negatively or neutrally in best case scenario to fanservice, while older generations (40+) live in nostalgia. +++ The trope didn't disappear because otaku rejected it. It faded because Japan's own cultural shifts, broadcasting restrictions, and global streaming made it feel outdated to younger viewers who never lived through the "golden era".

This is where you're wrong for 2 reasons.

1. Dub will be never the same experience. No matter how 'faithful' it will be. It's simply impossible. Culture, direction, language flow etc.

2. Dubfags are purposely choosing inferior, altered garbage so they don't deserve anything.
🧵 Let's look at the actual production. Anime and Japanese art is built around the original voice actors. The original directors are right there in the booth guiding the performance. When you remove and replace it to another language, that original creative intent is instantly lost.

OK. I did an extensive comparison of my AI subs To Ranma 1/2 2024 and the Netflix translation. In virtually every case, the AI not only reads better, but is more faithful.
