A disturbing trend I've noticed with fantis is that they seem to think "cp" (CSEM) is wrong because it's "intended to arouse."

That's not why CSEM is wrong.

I'm continually baffled by fantis who watch South Park.

So you're telling me that this is okay? It's fine for the show's creators to draw a child in bed with his teacher? They are allowed to do this.?

But when fans draw or write nsfw of these underage SP characters, it's wrong? Image I don't care what BS excuse you make for this. "Oh it's satire and the teacher was punished at the end" nah it doesn't matter because THIS^^^ was still drawn.

An adult and child being sexual was still written and storyboarded and animated and broadcast to the world.

How do we even know these kids' ages? Twitter op here reposted this from tiktok with NO context or explanation other than their little personal tidbit, which again has zero confirmation of ages. The original tiktok is gone.

So this poor boy is being called a pedo for NO REASON. I hate the internet. I truly hate all of you dumbasses. I'm speechless. This is from a month ago. I never want to hear "they're just a bunch of stupid teenagers online" ever again. In this situation alone, 1) a 14 year old was groomed by an antishipper and 2) that 14 year old bullied a classmate over ships so badly that classmate hurt herself. This affects real people.

You do not "own" trauma. Some random stranger is NOT "romanticizing (your) trauma" when they write about or draw fictional characters in a traumatic situation. In many cases, the person is writing about THEIR OWN trauma using fictional characters. It has nothing to do with you. You're gonna see triggering things online. That's how the internet works. It's like Russian Roulette. Even if you utilize mute and block features, sometimes things still slip through the cracks and you see triggering stuff anyway. It's a risk that comes with using the internet.

That is the most bogus argument and I beg Twitter users to use their braincells and realize why it's bogus Getting a pet fish or feeding your cat milk or whatever? It's interesting how the people who accuse shippers of "normalizing incest" look at two characters saying suggestive dialogue or having some intimate, romantic moment between them, and go "awww I love family! we stan brothers!!"

If anyone's normalizing incest here, it's fantis. And yes personal interpretation is a thing. Sometimes a scene will have half the fans seeing it as a family/sibling thing and the other half seeing is as romantic/shippy, and that's understandable in some cases.

I don't understand why internet famous people still cheat in the year 2022. This isn't the first time someone's been caught cheating and their career never really recovered afterwards. Is some side action really worth that AND messing up your spouse's and family's trust in you? Like... you are famous. You are well-known. People will recognizes you in public. Yet another artist unfairly removed from a zine because some busybody fandom Karen, who can't separate fiction from reality, felt grossed out by their art of fictional characters (art that is unrelated to said zine).

This is very disappoint and frustrating- Disappointing that the mods did nothing to stand up for their contributor and so quickly threw her under the bus. I think the first tweet here especially shows that fantis seem to believe that fictional ships MUST equal what they want/what would be best and most healthy for real life relationships. But that's just not how shipping works, at all. It's called fictional ships for a reason... Fictional ships don't always equal irl healthy relationships. And fictional ships don't always equal what the shipper whats in a relationship in their life.

What someone enjoys in a fictional ship DOES NOT mean that is what they want or condone in real life relationships.
