I’m very sorry to go on about this but I was not given right of reply here (which RTÉ were given in plenty of time ahead of the singular interview I gave about this) so I have to respond here.
I was told on Tuesday my contract was not being renewed. I was told they would follow my lead in terms of announcement, but that I needed to keep it a secret in the meantime. That day I submitted the statement I planned to release and said I wanted to do it on Friday.

Interesting to see him say ‘When we sit down with people like Louise or Keith Walsh, these are very tough decisions,’ when the entire point of my interview was that they didn’t sit down with me. No one spoke to me at all. THAT’S what I was upset about.
I’m moving on from this but can’t help but respond to the literal first words I’ve heard on my departure from 2fm from Dan Healy, a man I worked with for eighteen years, being in a newspaper interview.

While I'm talking about bodies I'd like to acknowledge that BMI is a legitimate reason for people to be vaccinated in Cohort 4 but anecdotally it seems like lots of people are unaware of this or too ashamed to get it on this basis.
Many people choose not to be weighed or simply are not weighed at regular GP appointments so are having to actively seek out the vaccine via their GP rather than simply being given an appointment (again, anecdotally, I'm happy to be corrected on this).
