🧵Just finished a focus group with 2024 Labour voters in Gorton and Denton who are now undecided between parties on the Left. What came through was a sense of tactical paralysis - desperation to keep out Reform, but real uncertainty about who the safe choice is.
Everyone in the group had voted Labour in 2024, and many had been hopeful. They expected this government to be different from the last: on the cost of living, and in breaking from the “old boys’ club” culture of the last government. Most now felt disappointed.
