*ANOTHER PERSONAL EXPERIENCE OF MISBEHAVIOUR OF SPICEJET WITH A SOLDIER

I am sharing my personal experience only because some members of this group, rather than standing with our fellow officer, appeared to defend the actions of the SpiceJet staff. What I witnessed was nothing short of a well-coordinated and forceful extortion attempt by SpiceJet staff — targeting not only personnel from the Armed Forces and paramilitary forces but also ordinary, proud citizens of Bharat Desh.

#BoycottSpiceJet I was travelling from Jaipur to Tezpur via Kolkata on 30 June 2024. The connecting flights were IndiGo (Jaipur to Kolkata) and SpiceJet (Kolkata to Tezpur).

Let me start with the positive. At Jaipur airport, during check-in, I informed the courteous lady at the counter — as any honest Fauji would do — that I was carrying only one piece of baggage weighing approximately 12 kg, which I preferred to carry as cabin baggage since it contained my laptop. She acknowledged this with a smile and said, “Sir, you are serving our nation — this is the least we can do as a small token of appreciation.” She even reminded me that I would be given priority boarding.

It is not often that one stumbles upon something new and unexplored,

+ especially in a tourism-friendly state like Rajasthan. With its abundance of forts and palaces, the tourist map of Rajasthan is already too crowded. So it is no surprise that a tiny unpolished gem like the town of Churu fell off the radar almost a century ago.

Churu district in Rajasthan is a part of Indian great Thar desert. It has always been counted amongst the most backward district due to the negligence of the political leaderships.

We understand that due to the scanty rainfalls and extreme temperatures
