I'm 46 y/o. I knew I felt wrong from the time I entered school. I was never comfortable playing with the boys. I used to say I was the girl's defender. Lol. I preferred to play house and dolls with the girls but of course as I got older playing with the girls was allowed less.

Eventually, I was just seen as the awkward, strange "new" kid, because we were always moving,changing schools. I was always picked on because I was different. I didn't fully understand how and why. I was never allowed to explore it.

Back at the end of June, I had a strange infection setup in my right lower leg. It presented as my leg swelling to about twice its normal size and being extremely painful to touch or move. It literally looked like it was going to explode. I of course waited too long to go to the ER and things really started going bad. Like, I got the just as I was going into decompensated septic shock.
A delay of another hour would have been deadly. As it was, it caused multiple organ systems to shutdown.
