A friend has asked me to host one of these in the past. I think there is nothing I can teach that is not already there in the internet.
So, first I will share a few starting videos. Then I will tell how you can get even more out of these tools.
[Please open these links and bookmark them on Chrome and not here. I know a lot of you will not even watch these.]
How I learn anything is by
- either finding someone who has been doing the hard work at figuring shit out and just consuming everything by them.
- focusing on specific tool and consuming content on how to use the tool better.
and of course using the tool.
There are enough tools already. And enough bookmarks. If you don't build, you will never learn.
Cancel everything you have planned for the rest of today and just watch these.

Just fyi, @deepseek_ai collects your IP, keystroke patterns, device info, etc etc, and stores it in China, where all that data is vulnerable. There is no privacy.
- Tweet sent from Oppo Poco Loco One Plus Huawei 14 mate.
Explaining your joke is the lamest thing you can do, but here it is: it does not matter if deepseek chat dot com (hosted in ccp servers) is collecting your data, or if inference becomes possible on edge devices (phones) and you run open source LLMs there, if all your keystrokes are on Oppo Poco Loco phones.

This is so true. Some people are just great at explaining complex topics. I will share a few examples below.
Would love similiar recommendations. Any topic works.
This one on LLMs. If anyone asks me how LLMs work, I will send them this.

For a high intent product, you want the transaction to happen as soon as possible, without distracting the user.
In ridehailing, for a user going to office in the morning, you want the transaction to happen asap. From 4 steps you want to cut to one step if possible.
For mid intent like food, you want to make people feel like they are getting a good deal, hence price perception from home itself is important. If they have a voucher, tell them they have it. If you are running 1+1 offer for some restaurants, and you have tagged

Saw this on my timeline.
Sharing what has worked for me.
It involves a lot of apps and systems. Use what's relevant for you.
I need a daily reminder on what is most important to me. I create this list every year. It is a stack ranked list. And this is my wallpaper and lockscreen.
The order, as well as items might change based on change in priorities. Poker was part of it earlier. Now it is not.

I thought I would start a interesting things I listened to/ read weekly thread. And have been thinking about.
And make it a recurring weekly thing. But I am feeling lazy. So here are the topics. If you are interested, go and listen.
1. The boy vs the guy (Jeremy Giffon on my first million. Data backed business episode from a few weeks back. Interesting framework for people early in their career.)
2. How Jack Abraham found mentors and early investors (appearance in world class podcast.)

Late night hot takes: 1. Some people think that the world is conspiring against them and XYZ external factors are blocking their growth path. Reality is that a lot of these people don't even do the bare minimum at work, lack the work ethic and energy to succeed.
You can blame external factors, your manager, optics, market conditions, politics for your lack of growth, but first give your 100%. Most don't.

Balaji is still the biggest cheerleader of India who does not stay in India.
If he was living here, he would have seen a woman with her baby girl electrocuted because of stepping on a live wire (imagine if it was raining that day how many more people would have died), goons stopping people late night in Sarjapur, stuck in traffic during floods.

I had tweeted earlier about reading investor letters and quarterly updates to become a better storyletter/ write better narratives when it comes to your charter and strategy.
Here are a few examples.
Here is Doordash explaining how they allocate capital to new initiatives.
If you are a capital allocator/ running a new initiatives team, this is a nice framework.

got a DM from a friend who wanted help on some PM case study assignment. wants to get into PM'ing and enter tech.
i generally don't do this. but since he is a school friend gave him some pointers on some of the questions in the case study. he seemed an absolute beginner.
then he casually mentioned that he has already done some pm course worth a lakh. i have no problem with any course, but if you are in the same boat maybe you can just check out aristos: manassaloi.com/2020/01/21/ari…

10 years back I landed in Hyderabad, excited to start my first job.
I arrived during the weekend. I was supposed to start on Monday.
Only to see my offer letter revoked the day I reached Hyderabad.
Imagine going to a new city. Crashing at your friend's place. Hoping to move to your office provided accomodation with almost no bank balance.
Excited to begin your new job, only to see your offer removed because the TA did not "do the needful" as I had requested.

most people never figure out their relationship with money and status. they never think what motivates them. one of the best advice i read related to money was from ramit sethi who advices to focus on things that really matter to you and spend on them while cutting on others.

A discussion from Ye jawanee Hai Deewaanee has stayed with me over the years. Watched the movie 10 years back, at a time when I was a wannabe travel blogger and in another alternate universe might have become a full time traveler.
It is during the end of the movie where..
Deepika and Ranbir debate about who had better life experiences since they lost touch years back. Most of Ranbir's are solo. Extravagant. Exotic locations.
Deepika's are local. Mostly with family and friends. It was in the context of travel mostly.
