In addition to Glen Frank, another trans-identifying male, Farrah Herbert, ran in the Female category of the London Marathon. The only way this could be within UKA rules is if he entered before 31 March 2023, and was in full compliance with the previous, May 2021 UKA…

Trans-identifying male Sian Longthorpe has given up his four female @parkrunUK records. Good! 👍👏 Males should not participate in the female category in any sports at any level because it is unfair. Males in parkrun are well catered for with THREE categories (male, another… …gender identity & prefer not to say) which do not cause unfairness for females.

Finally, the actual females who are the record-holders can now be recognised, instead of erased. The new outright female record-holder at Parke parkrun has never been recognised until now…

Thread: here are 2 examples of the impact of males in the F category in UK distance running.

1. A female athlete had her club age group record taken from her by a male in 2022. In solidarity with, & support for her, a different female athlete has now taken it back. So female… athletes are quietly cooperating to get what males have stolen from them back into female hands.

My very last thread on this topic!

It turns out Sunday was not the first time Glenique Frank has run in the female category in the London Marathon.

He ran 4:45:21 in the Oct 2022 race as Glenique, in the female category, but was back to male for the NYC marathon in Nov 2022. In Oct 2021 he ran as Glenique but in the male category. Frank has apologised - good, thank you! 🙏

I want to highlight how this case illustrates the wider problems with male inclusion in the female category.

Today I tweeted about male Glenique Frank running in the female category in yesterday’s London Marathon.

In response @LibDems candidate @HarryMarstonLD tweeted this 👇to my MP, @munirawilson (also LD). This is a man telling a female MP who she’s allowed to follow/not follow. Image Harry called me a transphobe without a) defining it, b) saying what about my tweet he objected to, nor c) explaining why he (presumably) wants males in women’s sport.

He later deleted the tweet, after apparently critical replies, none of which I saw as I was out training. Image

This male ran in yesterday’s #LondonMarathon as Glenique Frank in the female category (Mass race) finishing in 6160th place out of 20123. So nearly 14,000 actual females suffered a worse finish position bc of him.

Last month, he ran in the Tokyo Marathon, as Glen Frank, also… in the F category, finishing 2829th out of 8609. So nearly 6000 females in worse finish position.

Last Nov, he ran the NYC Marathon as Glen Frank in the men’s category, finishing 14,096th out of 26,539.

Since 31 March, @WorldAthletics & @BritAthletics have banned….

There are numerous points in this that need addressing. But perhaps the most important is this 👇.

I believe Bridges is referring to research by Joanna Harper, a trans-identifying male, which Bridges is part of. “I believe it will show that I haven’t got any unfair advantage”. The elephant in the room with Harper’s research is: how does Harper ensure 100% effort from the TW participants, who have an incentive to deliberately underperform in tests to ‘prove’ no advantage & thereby strengthen the case that competition against females by them is ‘fair’?

I was on @StephenNolan’s show on @bbc5live ystday at 23:20. After me, @PeterTatchell gave us all a lesson on #marathon physiology, inc saying TW are at a *disadvantage* compared to biological women bc the latter “have greater fatigue resistance & recover faster”. This is made-up, unscientific nonsense. Obvs I know bc I’ve done it ! 🤬Peter, why is the male (which is what TW are) WR over TWELVE minutes faster than the female WR? @bbc should not be allowing outright lies to go unchallenged on their programmes. @FondOfBeetles @Scienceofsport @TLexercise
