AlphaGirlClub - Super low minting gas

I was talking to @pencilflip about how @alphagirlclub can allow minting for low gas fees. This prompted me to look into the contract further.

On a good day, we can drive minting gas to $8?!

Spending Sunday afternoon working on @_buildspace Solana NFT project!

If you follow the @_buildspace tutorial, we're taught to do .json metadata manually. I'm able to generate 300 easily because I use niftygenerator.xyz check it out!

Lately, I've been fascinated by the use of NFTs and contracts for memberships and subscriptions.

One of the prime examples is SuperSea NFT for nonfungible.tools by @sbliminoid and @bobendipity.

Today I'll break down how their contract works. 1/ First of all, what is SuperSea? SuperSea is a collection of 100 NFTs that grants its holder lifetime access to nonfungible.tools member-only features.

Holding an NFT is equivalent to owning a lifetime deal. The contract also powers the tool's subscription service.

I'm reading @coolcatsnft smart contract and learn that actually, you might not own your Cool Cats at all.

You only own the "ID" representing your Cool Cats, but not the Cool Cat itself.

I'll breakdown in a 🧵 1/ Actually, what do you own when buying a Cool Cat? You're buying a link that points to a file that describes your NFT. For example, for Cat #22, you're buying this link: api.coolcatsnft.com/cat/22

Try changing 22 to the number of any cat, and you'll see information about that cat
