Yesterday I wrote to the Met Police concerning an alleged criminal offence by the trade union Unite that I have been made aware of.
I have now called for an immediate police investigation.
I have recently seen emails suggesting that Unite top officials have been covertly funding political activities. Keeping this secret from its hardworking members.
If true, this is unlawful.

In the run up to the local elections, Boris Johnson used a private jet to hop around the country.
The private jet he used is registered in the Isle of Man.
The super-rich have long used this tax haven to deliberately avoid paying any VAT on their jets.
The jet reportedly cost some £45m to buy. So that could mean that £9m in VAT was not paid on this luxury jet.
That is £9m that likely should have gone into the public pot for the public good.

Tomorrow it will be a year since Parliament Square was filled with hundreds & hundreds of people protesting against antisemitism at the Enough is Enough rally. I was there. One year on, our demands have been brushed aside and things have only got worse in the Labour Party 1/6
