So, I’ve been dreading writing this thread for a while but here we go: I am leaving the US today because my application didn’t get selected in the H-1B (work) visa lottery. After five years and hundreds of memories, I’m saying g’bye to America. 1/ I’m sad and a little bit stressed but overall quite thankful for the time I got to spend here. These have been, so far, the best years of my life. And that’s all thanks to the people I got to meet in this country. 2/
