Oh lord, what did I just read @nytimes? The fact that this “profile” doesn’t seriously address the extent to which Chief Justice Zaldívar has put his independence & that of Mexico’s SC into question, makes me wonder about it’s real purpose nytimes.com/2022/07/09/wor… One of the genius(?) aspects about Zaldívar’s activism is that he taps on progressive and popular causes so that whoever dares to criticize him can easily be disregarded as anti-rights or conservative.
