1. Remove provision of accom from @DeptJusticeIRL (they should only deal with asylum claims). 2. Impose statutory limit for time spent in reception centres (90 days). 3. Unrestricted right to work, language supports & edu. 4. Support people to live independently in community

The @DeptJusticeIRL will pay travel costs for asylum seekers to attend #Pride as if they don't ask them to prove sexual orientation 🙄 If only you read half of the rejection letters for LGBT+ asylum seekers you'd understand why this is pathetic
Not so long ago we were contacted by a solicitor representing an asylum seeker whose sexual orientation was questioned by both the IPO and appeal tribunal. The solicitor asked us to write a letter confirming the applicant's participation in our LGBT+ activities.

2/6 we're getting reports of delays in obtaining reports from SPIRASI (they are under-resourced). An asylum seeker just told us that SPIRASI refused to provide a medico legal report because it would not be beneficial for the asylum seeker
