There's been an epidemic of ACL tears in girls soccer recently.
On average, I see approx 2 ACL tears per team PER SEASON.
In 4 years working with the RL South Girls at CISC, we had 4 ACL tears total in 24 seasons
(6 teams x 4 yrs = 24 seasons).
Here's how we did it 🧵
1⃣ In-season strength program
🏋️♂️Hamstring/Glute strengthening (prog overload)
💣Plyo exercises (esp landings off of boxes - DL/SL)
🚧Deceleration/COD drills
🌬️Sprint work at least 1x per week
🏃♂️Proper form (landing, decelerating)
