I analyzed 1,200+ videos shown on YouTube’s home feed across multiple accounts.
My goal: find the average “lifespan” of a video once you open YouTube.
The results blew my mind. MEGA THREAD 🧵👇
First, we’ll look at how much YouTube pushes new videos vs. older ones, and what the ratio is between fresh and aged content shown on the homepage.
Second, we’ll figure out what percentage of old videos YouTube actually recommends, and the most frequent age ranges.
And finally, we’ll try to determine when YouTube stops recommending a video with strength, to estimate the average lifespan of a video on the home feed.
All of this in a short, easy-to-understand thread.

1. @nexlevio (NexLev) is like the Holy Grail of YouTube automation, or more specifically, for faceless channels.
Basically, it's a tool that allows you to discover new, fresh, and unsaturated niches with just a couple of clicks.
It has many interesting features, including AI, its own course by Noah, and offers incredible value. The only downside I see? The price.
But let's be honest, you can literally get rich just by using it, so its value is priceless.
