A team of Italian scientists recently published an eye-opening study on microplastics and cardiovascular diseases.

Here’s what they found (it’s not good): Image For 34 months, the scientists examined 257 patients with plaques in their carotid arteries. They found micro- and nanoplastics in the plaques of 58% of them.
