When you ask me how I'm doing and I say "I'm functioning" this is what I mean Glad you can all relate.

If you want to help me function and support my art consider buying me a coffee 💖

(I don't make broken sinks. Sry lol.)

just a psa, because some angry instagram babies seem to not get the point, but duplicating and flipping elements of your drawing to save time is normal and okay, and lots of artists use this method. it saves time and energy. you don't like it??? want to draw it yourself??? fine!!! Absolutely fine!! but take yourself and your high horse off my posts and leave me alone lmao

Having Trouble Starting a Comic?

You have spoken, and I shall answer. Here's a thread of the most common issues over starting a comic. I've compiled all of your responses into this neat little thread, so if you can't start a comic for the life of you, check this out: BACKGROUNDS

This was the MOST common response in the thread.

REFERENCES: I keep a Pinterest board of environment art/scenery/photography/etc. of any references I’ll need later on. This also includes other comics, ones that I see have a good grasp on backgrounds. (1)

If you’ve wanted to start drawing a comic, but get intimidated by all the work, try making just a single page this week.

It doesn’t have to be a masterpiece, it doesn’t have to be super complex, it doesn’t have to be a self-contained story.

Tips in thread: Start with a basic thumbnail. This is where you’re gonna figure out the composition, panel layout, where figures are going to be placed, flow from panel to panel, etc.
