When you pay attention you quickly realize how many of their arguments are disputes about framing disguised as disputes about facts.

“White flight” was a response to the crime wave American cities saw in the 1960s-1990s. Libs are taught this was white america being racist fleeing from black neighbors as segregation was formally ended. Point out that what the whites fleeing the cities really didn’t like was the violent crime and their governments inability or unwillingness to stop this crime, and they will start calling you names. You’ve recast their narrative’s illogical hateful villains as not only pragmatic reasonable citizens, but as victims.

You can throw a stone into any American conflict and hit some sacred cow that justifies the progressive hatred of this country and her people. By simply explaining the point of view of the villainized, exactly as they would have explained themself, the progressive reacts in horror.

“How can you say that? My Zinn inspired history book said the opposite!” This is when the insults come raining down.Image Ask any of these guys why they moved to a nice neighborhood and they’ll say, ohh it’s safe, the schools are nice etc etc etc… then ask them why grandma and grandpa moved to their neighborhood to start a family and it’s, “ohh they just hated black people.” Like really? That’s what you honestly think? It’s just silly.

In 1862 during the civil war the Sioux used the opportunity to attack undefended frontier settlements. They killed nearly 400 men women and children. They took as hostages 300 women and children. They drove some 30,000 settlers off their land.

The military took time to rally enough troops to respond amidst the civil war. When they did, they killed some 150 natives and captured hundreds more. The freed the hostages and hanged the leaders of the attack in one of the largest mass executions in U.S. history; 18 in total. Part of the unconditional surrender of the Sioux was moving westward, away from the border they attacked.

20 years later a Sioux cult emerged. The belief that Jesus Christ had returned to earth as an Indian. The Sioux believed he had returned to cleanse the land of the white man and would restore the lives of the Indians that had fallen. The cult developed a ritual known as the ghost dance, which included a black shirt many Sioux believed to be bullet proof.

The ghost dance was a prayer, a prayer of genocide. A prayer that the white man would be exterminated. It spread to every Sioux tribe.

Given the history of unprovoked attacks on undefended settlements this call to genocide was taken seriously by the citizens living near the Sioux. They pled with the government to take action.

The U.S. ordered the Sioux to disarm, turning over their fire arms. During the disarmament members of the tribe started performing the ghost dance. Soldiers were on edge. One Sioux refused to turn over his rifle firing at the soldiers. Several others revealed hidden guns beneath their cloaks and began firing on the soldiers. Unarmed tribesmen garbed in their “bullet proof” shirts grabbed blunt objects and axes and struck at the nearest soldier. The army opened fire. It was chaos. There were mass casualties on both sides.

The Sioux lost. They were forced further back from civilization. They were never able to fulfill their prayer of white genocide.

Thank God our government did not allow a band of genocidal tribesman to exist near our borders. Our world is a better place for removing that threat. Think about the insane amount of social conditioning that it took to make people ignore the sacrifice your ancestors made to protect you from a genocidal threat, while sympathizing with the genocidal threat.

Ok, I guess I’ll give you an opportunity to be smug. The study he’s referencing is only looking at tech start ups. The h1b process is fairly complicated, so I believe the study is measuring something else. It’s measuring the logistical competence of start up companies. Its measure of success wasn’t revenue or patents, but IPO and VC investment. What makes these early companies attractive to investors? The corporate logistical structure to handle complex legal and administrative tasks is good indicator they’re a serious player. This has nothing to do with the HIB employees they hire.

Now there are other studies that actually focus on existing firms and the impact of H1B workers. They find modest to no impact on revenue or patent filling, they find that the hiring crowds out native applicants, and most importantly they find hiring prices down workers wages. Which is exactly what opponents of H1B visas argue.Image At a certain point you have to be willing to say, hey, those guys who dismissed this out of hand were right. They’re often right, what keeps making them right?

Mega thread investigating the left wing terror group The Weather Underground. Image Background essay:

The weather underground where are they now?: Kathy Boudin

Kathy was one of the original members of the weather underground, a group of left wing terrorists that bombed 25 state buildings, including the pentagon, DoD, State department head quarters, and the capitol building. In a desperate attempt to get more funding the group targeted a bank truck. I’ll cover the robbery in a different thread, but the short version is three men were killed, and Kathy was one of the getaway drivers. She was sentenced to 20 year to life for felony murder.Image In 2003 after 23 years of her sentenced served she was released by the parole board. She started to work in a hospital in an AIDS clinic. In 2013 she started teaching a Columbia as a professor in social work. She specialized in anti-prison ideologies, founding the Center for Justice. The organization is dedicated to… reduce prison populations. Radical communist murderer goes on to teach our children why we shouldn’t have prisons.Image

I checked their domestic terror list and went back through every right wing case up till 2020. There were only 12. Five of them are highly questionable. Let’s get into them. Up first: Henderson, Solomon Sahmad Charlie. Umm look at him. They called him right wing because he was an incel and shot up his school. Image

I don’t have time to do all of that, but I did check the three month period starting Nov 2021. Worth noting this time period includes date of sentencing, not date of incident.

There were 26 cases listed. 7 were dismissible outright. I’ll get into those in this thread.

In addition to the 7 dismissible ones, two were prison violence by white prison gangs. The database tracks no other racial gang violence. One was a dispute over littering that lead to violence, the guy was white his neighbor Mexican this was also marked as right wing violence. Two cases were guys putting hateful stickers around town, definitely political and hateful, but they were stickers… One was a Chinese man who had a hit list of people, mostly dems but his motives seemed to be anti-USA and was targeting the current administration. Then there were two firearm charges, white supremacists charged with converting rifles to full auto. They were white supremacists, but their crime had nothing to do with ideology. So I would categorize these 8 as questionable. Right off the bat, two of the cases were people arrested and charged for protesting peacefully at abortion clinics. The inclusion of these should be enough to throw out the rest of the data as worthless. Image

I don’t want to put the dancing twink cheerleader on your TL again, but it’s another instance of the left playing dumb. “What’s exactly wrong? There have always been male cheerleaders!”

The problem is a boy is acting like a girl. Cultural norms are good. Gender norms are good. Encouraging these norms is good. Directly subverting them is bad.

The question is why does the left feel the need to subvert them so badly? What odd part of their psyche makes them gravitate to this so much? Who beyond a handful of gay men enjoy watching a twink dance like a bimbo? It’s similar to drag. I don’t understand what libs are getting out of the performance. The dancing isn’t good, the costumes are ridiculous, the singing is fake, but there’s something they love about it. I guess it’s all just that emotional rush of subversion?

Guys please I begging you, stop this The gun crime from the black community is insane. Every single petty gun regulation should be thrown at them. You find some unemployed black male aged 15-30 with a hand gun in the city he should be thrown in jail, probably forever. This isn’t just to save lives and dramatically improve the life of everyone else in the city, but libs use the absurdly high gun deaths to attack everyone else’s gun rights. Stop defending these people. It’s suicidal.Image

The workers in a capitalist system can start a business if they wished. They could have their own pizza shop and pay themselves $78 an hour; they don’t. As I’ve pointed out before, Marxist don’t want to build their own means of production, they wish to seize it. Already built, all the hard part done for them. Hey man, if you think you can go build another Amazon please do!

When we teach kids to read they learn to read isn’t anything. Yes teaching people something means they learn. It doesn’t increase their intelligence, it doesn’t translate across domains.

Japan has a lower min wage than nearly every U.S. state. It has a lower real median income than the U.S. $35k vs $42k if you use PPP the median income is roughly the same as the US’s. Japan’s poverty rate is at 15% higher than the US’s 11%.

I don’t think economics causes violent crime. User is totally right. I misread median income for median household income. This means Japan income is much much lower than the US’s

I just don’t understand socioeconomics. Ok let’s delve into the socioeconomics of St. Louis and compare it to another Missouri county: Shelby County. Education spending:

St louis spends way more per student, they have a higher high school graduation rate and a much higher college graduation rate.

St. Louis wins this one! Image

Every protest movement tries to recapture the magic of the civil rights, where the aim of the protest was to be arrested for violating the law they were protesting. The modern left never really understood why it worked. They think it was the trespassing and disruptions that changed people’s mind. No it was the highlighting of an unjust set of laws by showing America what their enforcement looked like.

Doesn’t matter, the cargo cult of protests has too many followers. They’ll continue to randomly sit in offices, streets, even LEO parking lots because that’s as far as their reasoning has taken them. They’ll never understand why it’s not winning hearts and minds. Ironically one of the most effective protests would have been AOC visiting the children in cages at the border, if she actually came across some… Image

Yes, the redlining talked about in progressive circles is a myth. Redlining was a banking algorithm that assigned neighborhoods a risk factor. Redlined neighborhoods were designated high risk investments and banks avoided giving mortgages out to these neighborhoods. More white people were affected by these algorithms than black people. Below you can see Boston and Seattle, vast swaths of the city were considered redlined without a single black family living there.

But like all progressive claims of racism, they point to a statically higher proportion of black neighborhoods hit than white neighborhoods. The same analysis is done on modern credit scores, claims of a racist system due to black people having lower than avg credit scores. What’s missing always is the actual bigotry. That part is just assumed by progressives.Image

The more stringent algorithmic processes you place on these decisions the more “racist” the system becomes, which should tell you a lot about their working definition of racism. Image

Incel really just means ‘poorly socialized to the point it’s impossible to build relationships.’ The problem is growing across all ideological spectrums. Yes that guy who isn’t leaving his house and can’t match on an app is an incel, but that woman who is only in ‘situationships’ is just as poorly socialized. So is the extreme Tate version of masculinity that views women as disposable objects.

We've dismantled the traditional model of forming and organizing families, and what's left is a chaotic free for all. Tradition and religion served as a guiding framework because societies long recognized that young people often struggle to “figure things out on their own.” The growing presence of incels across the spectrum is a symptom of this breakdown. A timely reminder that 60% of America is functionally illiterate.

Obama didn’t cause racism, he inflamed racial tensions when his poll numbers dipped. After a series of disastrous foreign policy decisions and a series of 51-49 legislative wins he refocused the national conversation by highlighting local crime stories about black men being killed while committing crimes. He attempted to paint this as the essential black experience. Yeah race relations tanked after that.Image Yes thank you, this 2014 article writing about how the Republican Party is nothing but small minded bigots is the exact kind of media I was referring to.

Conservatives believe that healthy individuals create healthy communities. They constantly talk about individuals for the sake of healthy communities. Libs talk about communities in terms of group rights, the idea being healthy communities create healthy individuals.

The liberal approach means individual problems almost all have systemic causes. Crime is due to systemic injustice of some sort. Education is a funding issue. Homelessness due to capitalism etc… in each case the community is failing the individual. The individual’s choices are rarely questioned or judged. Judging someone’s individual choices is one of the great liberal sins. Control from the top down works best. Collective control for radical individualism.

Conservatives approach the problem from the opposite way. It’s your actions that determine your outcome. You’re homeless because you did X,Y,Z. You’re a criminal because you couldn’t follow the communities rules. You failed school because you refused to do your school work etc… communities are made good or bad by the willingness of the members of that community to take personal responsibility. In short the liberal approach is a radical individualist world view focused on the community’s obligations to the individual, whereas the conservative approach is a community oriented ideology focused on the individual’s obligations to community.
