52-year-old Olena Nevara died on May 13, 2023, in the hospital in Dnipro where she had been taken after sustaining serious injuries as a result of russian shelling of her hometown of Malotaranivka in Donetsk region. Doctors fought for Olena`s life for two weeks. 1/3 Image Olena worked as a paramedic at the Donetsk Regional Center for Emergency Medical Aid and First Response Medicine. Oleksii Bondar was killed on March 19, 2022, in Mykolaiv Region. The Russian army carried out an airstrike on his family's house. The 7-year-old boy died with his mother and grandmother.

5-year-old Oleksandryna Kirillova was killed in Mariupol on April 1, 2022. A Russian tank shot her room. The fragment of the shell pierced the girl's carotid artery. 1/4

Vira Prokopenko from Mariupol started rescuing animals in 2014. She helped find shelter for more than 50 animals. 1/4 Image During the russian advance on Mariupol, the city was under heavy fire. Vira spent 12 days in the basement. She ran out to feed the cats whenever she got the chance. On March 11, 2022, a fire broke out there due to shelling. All animals died from carbon monoxide poisoning. 2/4 Image

Ivan Ivanov was an ordinary Ukrainian teenager. He liked video games and spending time with his friends.
