🧵A few years ago it occurred to me that God never punishes his children. This truth has become one of the greatest encouragements in my life. Romans 8:1 says, "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus". Those in God's family have been pardoned by Jesus' sacrifice. If God were to punish his children, he would be acknowledging that Jesus's sacrifice on the cross was insufficient.

Love is less surprise getaways to romantic locales, and more quiet faithfulness, getting up early every day to take care of family & work to provide.
