I hear stuff like this all.the.time. & ppl often assume I’m vocal bc I’m pushing a personal political agenda. I’m honestly not. It’s bc I’ve found that so many white Christians are just completely & embarrassingly ignorant abt historic traditions outside of white evangelicalism For so many, orthodoxy = a largely white (even if they don’t realize it), Religious Right, Republican version of Christianity

So heresy is functionally defined politically rather than biblically.

I'm devastated to hear about Darrin Patrick's death. I'm praying for his wife and kids, and the rest of his family and friends.
