Barnsley recorded a loss of £280k (2019: £3.4m) for 2019/20 season.
The club says it would have broken even but for the impact of the pandemic.
Revenue up from £7.8m to £14.2m thanks mostly to increased TV revenue in the Championship.
Barnsley made a profit on player trading of £2.8m.
