Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) has come out with Revised Guidelines for Filipino passengers traveling overseas.

Basic travel docs required:
-passport (valid for 6 mos from departure)
-visa
-boarding pass
-confirmed round trip ticket, when necessary Image Additional requirements are needed depending on who's traveling.

Self-funded tourists need to show financial capacity and proof of employment.

Affidavits of support are needed if the travel is being sponsored by relatives/non-relative/entity abroad.

JUST IN: The Supreme Court has changed the interpretation on the rule on Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth:
Before any public official/employee could be liable for errors, omissions or non-filing of SALNs, they must be given the chance to correct them. The Supreme Court made the "clarification" on the SALN rule in setting aside the dismissal for dishonesty of a tax specialist from the Dept of Finance who was accused of concealing millions worth of real properties, motor vehicles, business interests and loans.

A QC court acquitted of him of direct assault.

Now, the admin and crim raps he filed vs cops have been dismissed by the Ombudsman.

CenterLaw says this justifies ICC coming in Why was Morillo's murder complaint dismissed?

Supreme Court suspends for 2 yrs a senior partner in a law firm for sexually harassing a junior associate.

Acts included "dirty jokes, innuendos, inappropriate personal intimate questions about her romantic relationships" and sharing extramarital sexual conquests. Image According to the SC press briefer, the senior partner also made actual sexual advances on the junior associate, even to the point of confessing that "he would have fallen for her had they been within the same age-range."

Another case of a suspect left for dead after being shot by a cop but who managed to survive.

Roger Herrero stayed for 3 mos in a hospital, later detained for robbery. His case was then dismissed.

A Zamboanga court has convicted a retired judge of murder for ordering 2019 killing of another judge within the court compound.

Court found retired Judge Oscar Tomarong paid hired killers P200k to kill Judge Reymar Lacaya because “napuno na ko.”

JUST IN: QC police arrest ex-VP candidate Walden Bello in his house in Quezon City at around 4 this afternoon, according to his staff Leomar Doctolero. This is in connection with the cyber libel case filed by former Davao City info officer Jefry Tupas. Tupas filed the cyber libel case against Bello in March this year after the then-VP candidate accused Tupas of being a drug dealer and of being involved in a drug raid in a TV interview.
Tupas denied both allegations.

A Davao court has junked, due to lack of evidence, 2 counts of child abuse charges vs 6 administrators of the United Church of Christ in PH Haran Center in Davao City over the death of 2 Lumad children.

Davao City RTC Br. 12 granted accused’s demurrer to evidence. The UCCP Haran Center has been providing shelter to Lumads.

Court says prosecution failed to show center admins were responsible for the conditions that led to the deaths as there were even attempts to provide medical attention and there’s no evidence of ill motive.
