In a few hours, the snapshot for the $ICY and $ICZ airdrops will occur.

šŸŖ‚ These airdrops have undoubtedly introduced many opportunists to ICON, which is great!

But, if you're thinking of leaving after the snapshot.. I'd like to convince you to stick around.

We'll be kicking off 2022 with a BANG šŸ’„ Lots of announcements in the pipeline in January alone!

šŸ‘‰ 2022 is the year we're going ALL-IN to bring adoption for Blockchain Transmission Protocol (BTP), the most decentralized interoperability solution the world has to offer.

1/ Late Tweetstorm. Been busy.

Congrats to ICONLOOP w the launch of ā€˜Shinhan KYC Authentication’ on Zzeung app. Many of you don’t know much about banking + ID system in Korea so I’ll explain in here. Then you’ll know why this news has caught the entire country’s attention. 2/ @markusjayvc is not wrong here, but only partially right. Many of you see this launch impacting 1 bank + customers using SOL app. This is MUCH MUCH MORE than that. This directly impacts the way EVERY KOREAN CITIZEN interacts w the digital world.

1/ First, I’d like to congratulate @extendjh and ICONLOOP team for this exciting MyID launch. MILLIONS of ppl will interact with the ICON public network thru this partnership w Jeju Gov't alone. Here’s the official Korean announcement directly from Jeju.

jeju.go.kr/news/bodo/list… 2/ This is real-world use and the level of mass adoption we’ve been aiming for. 15M ppl visit Jeju annually. CJU(Jeju)-GMP(Seoul) is the busiest domestic route in the ENTIRE world. FYI 15M is 30% of Korea's pop and larger than the ENTIRE Seoul pop.

1/ My thoughts on recent Step Price Proposal bug/error. You can read the post mortem in the link here (forum.icon.community/t/post-mortem-…).

First of all, there is no excuse for mistakes. Period. We take full responsibility for this and cover any damage. 2/ It’s more important to learn from this incident. Bugs are part of dev process. We’ve recently seen that even big co’s like Twitter w more engineers + resources make mistakes. The truth is mistakes are going be made. It’s inevitable. The Q is how do you prep to minimize risks.
