Pandemic is over people. How do I know? I slept in my car last night. That’s how.

Our story. We’ve been cautious like most and keep all interaction to a minimum. We don’t fly. But we do road trip with our @tesla. Autopilot makes it easy. My family are germaphobes, so we are careful. Yesterday we set off for Florida. The 1300 mile trip from NY isn’t horrible.

@EVClubCT @cleantechnica @Tesla @AcadiaCtr @Sustainne @paulbraren @BeckerBruceR @LevieffPhil @SamDynowski Connecticut is one of only six remaining states in the country that hasn’t allowed @Tesla to sell direct. Begs question: are we leaders or laggards? EVs are at a tipping point, and the direct sales model is the way — versus a 100 year old franchise model.

A thread. @EVClubCT @cleantechnica @Tesla @AcadiaCtr @Sustainne @paulbraren @BeckerBruceR @LevieffPhil @SamDynowski The ICE market crash is coming along with the franchise model. It’s the point when residuals plummet. Compared to Norway with a pop of 5.3 million, 50% EV share or 347k registered. CT has pop of 3.5 million and only 14k registered. We need to reduce friction and encourage change

@elonmusk Elon, I might know a guy who knows a guy and can get a meeting with @GovNedLamont. We suck at attracting business to CT and don’t even allow you to sell cars here. We’re desperate for jobs and taxes. And we’re not even located in the central US but we buy a lot of @Teslas from NY @elonmusk @GovNedLamont @teslas If you ever did consider the nutmeg state, rest assured every little town would independently propose why their hamlet was better than the other guy for your business. We’re weak and uncoordinated but the people who live here are great and hard working (and deserve better).
