my programming language brainworm is trying to get me to design a syntax that makes people as angry as Lisp does, but in a wholly original way, and without making the syntax intentionally obtuse or verbose - whitespace sensitive
- uses arithmetic operators for something other than arithmetic (like objective-C methods)
- "natural language" like hypertalk/applescript

I know a lot of people identify with this article but the divide that this article presents makes zero sense to me css-tricks.com/the-great-divi… You could make a case for splitting the field between "UX Engineer" and "Frontend Infrastructure Engineer" maybe? But the skill sets would still be mostly overlapping

a little over two years ago, i started @writetospeaknyc, a "writer's workshop" for conference talks. it had an okay run but it never really developed a regular crowd; more to the point I don't think I ever really got it to achieve the purpose I had set out for like, my _small_ goal was just to get my talks accepted at more conferences, and my acceptance rate actually went down; my _large_ goal was to further the art form of the technical talk and I don't think I even had the courage to admit that was a goal until now
